While we were there, I had a lot of fun riding rides and hanging out with people from my youth group. I think that having all that fun and talking the whole day was what really brought us together. Before that trip, I was just a shy kid who did not talk to anybody ever, but afterwards, he helped me come out of my shell a lot and start talking to a lot more people and going places and hanging out with them. Bread lines would run out before everyone got some, so the people at the end usually went hungry. However, when these soup kitchens were getting low on food, they would water down the soup in order to try and feed all the people in line Hoovervilles. Bread lines usually had so many people need food that the line would be wrapped around the block.

The next night was the walk and I had never felt such satisfaction. It felt incredible to know that I had made a difference, no matter how small, in my community. Bangalore to Ooty Trip I thought it will be helpful to write a travelouge for my trip to some of those who wish to plan a trip to Ooty from Bangalore by a self driven car. Before planning my trip , I tried to search the net for some experiences but all those could not give me a confidence and some of them even discouraged me to go ahead with the trip. The fear was due to descriptions of a dense forest , wild animals and hill driving especially with hair-pin bends. Yet we started this trip along with my wife and kid.
This was my first mission trip, and I am completely grateful that it was this amazing, eye-opening experience. Each day was a new adventure with arousing lessons. It was astonishing to see people with a crazy amount of brokenness have so much hope.
